About Mark
Mark Showalter of Garden City, Kansas has over 45 years of experience around billiards.
He’s a former professional pool player, as well as a billiard mechanic and restorer of antique pool, carom and snooker tables. All of his antique billiard restorations are structurally sound. Starting with the inner cabinet and then the outer cabinet, Mark uses old-school techniques in his restorations. Mark, self-described perfectionist, takes pride in the specific veneers and inlays he uses in his restorations. He uses stains, finishes and dyes to match the original table (lacquer, shellac, varnish or French polish).
