About Us

Clark and Mark Showalter, father and son, started this journey many years ago.

Mark Showalter of Garden City, Kansas has over 45 years of experience around billiards; he’s a former professional pool player as well as a billiard mechanic and restorer of antique pool, carom and snooker tables. All of his antique billiard restorations are structurally sound. Starting with the inner cabinet and then the outer cabinet, Mark uses old-school techniques in his restorations. Mark, self-described perfectionist, takes pride in the specific veneers and inlays he uses in his restorations. He uses stains, finishes and dyes to match the original table (lacquer, shellac, varnish or French polish).

Mark has amassed a large collection of tables dating from the 1800s through the mid-1960s. He has many tables in stock, including restored billiard tables as well as unrestored tables (we call them attic finds). He also has a number of unique pool table accessories including cue cabinets, cue racks, many antique billiard balls, a calculagraph, as well as rail bolts and escutcheons. In addition to his current inventory, Mark does custom restorations of tables you already own. Mark will care for your billiard table as if it were his own. Contact Mark if you’re interested in custom work to your heirloom. You will find that his restorations are available at reasonable rates.

In addition to inventory for sale and custom billiard table restorations, Mark also offers identification and appraisals of antique pool, carom and snooker tables. He can make you and your family’s dreams become a reality, when it comes to the perfect antique table for your home or gathering space! Phone calls are more than welcome. Contact Mark Showalter
